Account Verification (KYC)
To ensure security and compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and financial regulations, all Toco users must complete identity verification, also known as Know Your Customer (KYC) verification.
Account verification helps us:
Protect your account from unauthorized access
Comply with anti-money laundering regulations
Ensure the security of the Toco ecosystem
Enable full platform functionality including rewards
Prepare these documents before starting verification:
Government-issued ID (one of the following):
Passport
Driver's license
National ID card
Proof of Address (issued within the last 3 months):
Utility bill
Bank statement
Government correspondence
Access Verification: In the app, go to Settings > Account Verification
Consent to the storing of your personal and biometric data for verification purposes
Confirm that you are over the age of 18.
Choose the document issuing Country: The country that issued your ID, Passport and proof of address document.
Choose Document Type: Select your preferred ID type
Take Photos:
Clear photo of the front of your ID
Clear photo of the back of your ID (if applicable)
A video selfie of you (no glasses, earings etc.)
Address Verification: Upload your proof of address document
Submit: Review and submit your documents
Final Review: Review the extracted details of your Documents and edit if necessary.
This declaration confirms that you are the owner of the funds that will be used in your toco wallet.
Confirm and Sign the Beneficial Owner Declaration.
Fill in the OTP sent to your email address to complete the process.
Automatic approval: Most verifications are processed instantly
Manual review: Some applications may take 1-3 business days
Additional information: We may request clarification or additional documents
Check your verification status in the app:
Pending: Documents are being reviewed
Approved: Verification complete - full access granted
Retry Verification: There was an error with one of the documents, please re-upload your documents
Ensure photos are clear and well-lit
Make sure all text on documents is readable
Use original documents (not photocopies)
Ensure your selfie clearly shows your face.
If your verification is not approved:
Check the reason provided in the app
Resubmit with corrected documents
Contact support if you need assistance
Your personal information is:
Encrypted and stored securely
Used only for verification and compliance purposes
Never shared with third parties without your consent
Protected according to our Privacy Policy
