Setting Up Your Wallet

Your Toco wallet is automatically created when you sign up, but there are important steps to secure it and optimize it for earning rewards.

Understanding Your Wallet

Your Toco wallet:
Stores your tocos securely
Tracks your balance and transaction history
Records your engagement activity for rewards
Enables sending and receiving tocos

Initial Wallet Security

Set Up a Pin

Go to Settings > Security
Select Set Wallet PIN
Choose a 6-digit PIN you'll remember
Confirm your PIN
Store it securely (never share with anyone)

Enable Biometric Security

If your device supports it:
Go to Settings > Security
Toggle Biometric Authentication
Follow prompts to set up fingerprint or face recognition

Wallet Recovery

Recovery Phrase (Seed Phrase)

Your wallet generates a unique recovery phrase:
Go to Settings > Wallet Recovery
Write down your 12-word recovery phrase
Store it in a safe, offline location
Never share this phrase with anyone
Never store it digitally or take screenshots
⚠️ Critical: If you lose access to your device, this phrase is the only way to recover your wallet and tocos.

Wallet Address

Your Toco wallet has a unique address for receiving tocos:
Find it under Receive in your wallet
Share this address to receive tocos from others
Each address is unique and permanent

Backup Best Practices

Do:
Write your recovery phrase on paper
Store it in a secure, fireproof location
Make multiple copies stored separately
Test your backup by attempting recovery on a test device
Don't:
Screenshot or photograph your recovery phrase
Store it in cloud services, emails, or digital notes
Share it with anyone, including Toco support
Store all copies in the same location

Wallet Limits

Your wallet may have certain limits based on:
Verification status
Account age
Engagement tier
Regional regulations
Current limits are displayed in the app under Settings > Account Limits.

Multiple Device Access

Currently, Toco wallets are tied to a single device. To access your wallet on a new device:
Install the Toco app
Select Restore Wallet
Enter your recovery phrase
Complete security setup

Deleting Your Wallet

If you'd like to delete your account you can:
Choose on "Settings" in the top right hand corner
Choose "Other"
Choose "Delete Account Data"
Check the checkbox to indicate that you understand that you want to delete your account data and logout
Push the button entitled "Delete and Log Out"

Support

If you experience wallet issues:
Check our troubleshooting guide
Contact support through the app
Never share your PIN or recovery phrase with support staff
Important: Wallet features and security measures may be updated. Always use the latest app version and review current security recommendations.
